This image is from the Standing Orders of the Second Battalion of the 62nd or Wiltshire Regiment of Foot 1813 CD-ROM which gives a fascinating insight into military life almost two hundred years ago. It also includes the duty of officers and men, corporal punishment, servants, precise instructions on cleaning the firelock, beats, calls or sounds for the different duties, barrack, mess, school regulations etc. Please note that the image shown is of lower resolution and quality than the image on the CD-ROM.
