During Operation Market Garden over thirty thousand British and American airborne troops were flown behind enemy lines with the intention of capturing the bridges on the border between Holland and Germany. The video below, has been produced as as a Tribute to the Armed Forces and Civillians who lost their lives at Operation Market Garden, and includes photographs taken during Operation Market Garden, in and around Arnhem during September 1944.
