1941, Japanese bomb the United States mainland,Oregon

Japanese Yokosuka E14Y reconnaissance floatplane,known as a On September 9th, 1942, a Japanese floatplane, launched from the I-25 submarine of the Imperial Japanese Navy, dropped two incendiary bombs over the forest in Oregon. Their intent was to start large forest fires in the Oregon forest, fortunately for America the forest was damp, and nothing serious became of the fires. The two seater floatplane, known as a "Glen Floatplane" by the allies was a Yokosuka E14Y reconnaissance floatplane, which was assembled on the deck of the I-25 submarine. The floatplane took off by being catapulted it into the air from the submarine, on its return it would have landed on the water near to the submarine, been recovered, disassembled and stowed
