This annual from 1913 is packed with information from days gone by when ‘Football Stockings’ could be bought for a shilling, and ‘Football Knickers’ a shilling and fourpence. Full kit including boots could be bought for well under a pound. The F.A. Challenge Cup was won by Aston Villa, who beat Sunderland 1-0 in the final played at Crystal Palace in front of a record crowd of 120,081, although Sunderland lost the cup they did win the League Championship. The F.A. Amateur Cup was won by South Bank who beat Oxford City 1-0 in a replay played at Bishop Auckland.
